When I came back to remodeling, I came back with a clearer sense of exactly what I wanted to build — and what kind of contractor I wanted to be.

That decision brought me to bathrooms. Not because it was the easiest niche, but because it's where craftsmanship actually shows. There's nowhere to hide in a bathroom. The tile lines are either straight or they're not. The waterproofing either holds or it doesn't. I take that personally.
